A Journey of Faith, Courage, and Care

Rosanna Ramos

Life has a way of leading us down paths we never imagined, and for Rosanna Ramos, her journey into care work began with both loss and faith.

In 2021, Rosanna’s father passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest. It was a painful chapter that left her questioning many things, including her own ability to

care for others. But just two years later, in 2023, life presented her with a new opportunity. Through a student visa, Rosanna moved to Australia to continue her studies, starting out with a management course after years of working in accounting back in the Philippines.

At first, her path seemed set in business—but a simple suggestion changed everything. Someone asked her, “Why don’t you try a caring course?” Rosanna hesitated. It didn’t feel like her field, and doubts quickly crept in. But she listened to the quiet voice of faith guiding her forward, reminding her: “You’ll never know unless you try.”

With courage, Rosanna shifted her focus to care work. Almost two years on, she has embraced a new calling—working with people with disabilities and the elderly. What once felt impossible has become her greatest source of pride and purpose.

For Rosanna, every day of caring is deeply personal. Though she never had the chance to care for her father before he passed, she now honours his memory through the way she supports others.

“What would it feel like to take care of your own father?” she often wonders. Through her work, she has found the answer. Helping others has given her that same feeling—one of love, dignity, and connection.

Today, Rosanna stands proud of her journey. What began with doubt has transformed into a life of compassion, faith, and resilience. Her story is a reminder that sometimes the paths we least expect are the ones where we find our true purpose.
